Are intestinal parasites really a problem for us?
One of the most often overlooked illnesses plaguing mankind are intestinal parasites. Especially in developed and technologically advanced societies, parasite symptoms are often misdiagnosed and mistakenly attributed to something else. Medical professionals in underdeveloped nations are much more likely to correctly diagnose the problem as they are culturally expectant of it’s frequent occurrence.
In our culture, however, our medical professionals are not taught to look for intestinal parasites in humans. We would like to believe that our water and food supplies are not contaminated with bacteria and parasites, however, as recent news stories can attest, that is simply not the case. In fact, intestinal parasites in humans are a very frequent occurrence and it’s fast becoming more and more obvious that, sadly, our water, food supplies, and general environment are sorrowfully contaminated.
The good news is that, if properly diagnosed, intestinal parasites can be quite effectively dealt with. We need to be prepared to as readily deworm ourselves as we are our domesticated animals. We know and accept that if we do not routinely deworm our animals that their health will be seriously compromised and that serious disease, illness, and potential death will result not to mention the genuine risk of our animals transmitting their parasitic infestations to us and our children…now is the time to understand the same about our own bodies. It’s time to take charge of our own health and to do something about it.
What to do?
Consulting your physician is the best option if you think your health is being compromised by intestinal parasites Your doctor can recommend appropriate testing and followup treatment. Don’t be embarrassed or feel uncomfortable discussing this with him or her. Remember, you have to be an advocate for your own health.
Many people, myself included, also turn to safe and natural remedies proven effective in the removal of parasites and unhealthy toxic buildup as it’s just as important to maintain the cleanliness of your insides as it is your outside. Intestinal parasites in humans is a serious problem in our society today, however, if motivated to do so, we can overcome.
